Self-Reflection, is my topic on this week’s “Bleeding Heart Chronicles”. Good evening, love. As we go into a New Year, most people are prepared to party, shoot fireworks, drink and indulge in irrational behavior. And there’s nothing wrong with it. I love a good party myself. However, a New Year can represent a New Beginning in your life.

For me, a New Year is about Self-Reflection. As we look back on the year and our life, what do you see when you look back on the path you’ve traveled? Did your early plans work out? Goals, travel, career, income, marriage, kids? There are times we miss our goals and things just don’t work. But there are times when our way is blocked, and the detour leads to a different route and we end up in a better place than we could have ever imagined. This is why we should never fear the Darkness that comes into our lives. Sometimes you should embrace it and hold on tight. It is everything we go through that we should look back upon and examine. This is something you should do alone.

Our society has a different way of viewing what constitutes “Right” or “Success”. As I grow older, I see these values are really more about perpetuating the status quo. Not what is best for our soul’s journey. I heard a saying, “There Are No Straight Lines in Nature or Life”. Our life can be a twisted path to great experiences and a few terrible ones thrown in just to top it all off. In the course of this road we travel, we may meet interesting people, have exciting adventures, experience love and our heart shattered into a million pieces, grieve through deaths and laugh as things work out like we never expected.
[gap size=”8px”]
Where are you right now? Are you in a good place? Bad place? Not sure? Look back upon your journey. How far have you come? How many times have you fallen? How many successes have you had. Do you feel blessed? Do you see the people that have come and gone in your life. What purpose did they serve. If you don’t know, look again. I’m telling you, they served a purpose. You must figure it out in order to better evolve your life. Everyone and everything serves a purpose for us to grow. No, it’s not all good. But it’s only when you look back over the years that sometimes it becomes clear the purpose of the event or person that happened in your life. This is why we must self-reflect at some point.

I have self-reflected. And I continue to do so. I see myself as dark and light in a twisted crazy personality. It’s ok to be dark. It’s ok to be a little crazy. It is that crazy twisted personality that proves to be a kind of intoxicating insanity that lets other people imagine and dream outside of the boundaries that this world has set and allows that person to become who they’re destined to be. Not only can you be responsible for leading a person to their destiny just by touching their life. But you could accidentally find yours as well once you know who you are and understand where you’ve been.
[gap size=”8px”]
We live in a world of negativity. Happiness is not given. It comes from within. We must look at our own selves inside in order to understand and appreciate our life that we are given. Appreciation unlocks the fullness of life. Chaos can become order. Confusion can become clarity. Keeping truth in sight, is you keeping yourself insight. As always. I stand with you. I bleed with you. We will pursue a brighter day and happiness in our life. We will self-reflect on our lives and gain happiness. Because Together we are unstoppable, my love! WE will be Happy! Always and forever!
