Darkness can show you the light, is my topic on this week’s “Bleeding Heart Chronicles”. Good morning, love. With Divorce rates of 53% in the USA and above 70% in other countries. With At least 80% of humanity living on less than $10 a day. With One person dying by suicide every 40 seconds somewhere in the world. It’s easy to see, dark times is all around. Life offers us new challenges each day. And Nobody is exempt from the trials of life! Broken marriages, cheating relationships, back stabbing friends, lying politicians, financial difficulties, under paying jobs….It’s no wonder the crushing weight drives some to suicide. So……why in the world would I say Darkness can show you the light? Have I lost my mind?… NO! Let me explain.

Imagine if you will, we are in a very large auditorium. Very well lit. You stand in the center. I stand behind you and I am life. Before you is 10 doors side by side. You must choose one to walk through. I am pointing to the door. But the doors are so close you can’t tell which one I’m pointing to. So I grab a flashlight and shine it at the door to go through. But there is so much light you can’t see the beam from the flashlight ….Suddenly… all the lights in the auditorium go off. Pitch black. You stumble in the dark. But you see a light. It’s my flashlight shinning at the door you need to go through. You see it clearly now. If not for the darkness you’d never see the light. Life offers darkness as a trial. 2 things are needed to face these trials. The patience to wait for the right moment to come along and the courage to not be disappointed with what we encounter. You will encounter obstacles. You will make mistakes. Be grateful for both. Your obstacles and mistakes will be your greatest teachers. And the only way to not make mistakes in this life is to do absolutely nothing! But, by doing nothing, you actually make the biggest mistake of your life!! When you fail, you are NOT a failure. You are learning and becoming smarter. There’s an old saying, Beautiful souls are shaped by ugly experience. When darkness comes upon you. Just know, life is about to show you the next door with it’s flashlight. Know that failure leads to greater intelligence. And as you come through ugly situations, you are becoming more and more beautiful. You are the bended, but not broken. You are the power in the hurricane. You are the beauty in the beast. You are the strength in weakness. You are the confidence in the midst of doubt.

When the weight of life pulls you down and your world seems to be crumbling into the raging dark sea. Sometimes we need to sink to the bottom. Look around and know you are not the only one who has ever sunk. Let the darkness set in and be at peace waiting to see the light. See the hand that reaches down for you. Sometimes you’ll never know true happiness until something or someone pulls you up out of the raging dark sea. Or the fact that your calm and patience is what helped just save your own life. Face life again with renewed strength. Face life again with all of us that have come together as one. Because, together, we are unstoppable, my love! WE will master darkness! And Darkness will always show us the light!
